GENERAL ORGANIZATION FOR EXPORT AND IMPORT CONTROL (GOEIC)

GOEIC has appointed Baltic Control^® for verification of the conformity of products before shipment to Egypt.

OBJECTIVES:

1. Consumer and environment protection, support for Egyptian industries
2. Conformity and quality assurance of the goods imported
3. Faster release of goods at Arab Republic of Egypt Customs offices at the borders and the entry points

PROCESS:

The exporter lodges a request for certificate with the Baltic Control^® offices according to the contact details stated in the document attached below. This request should include:

• Declaration of registration at GOEIC – all exporters of regulated products must register with GOEIC to export to Egypt
• Pro-forma invoice / final invoice / packing list / name and contact of the importer and exporter
• Conformity documents or test reports (issued by ISO 17025 accredited laboratory) that comply with the Egyptian standards
• Certificates related to the management of quality / safety system
• Information related to the location and provisional date for the goods for the performance of physical inspection of goods before shipment

GENERAL AUTHORITY FOR SUPPLY COMMODITIES (GASC)

Baltic Control^® is registered at Egypt’s General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) and is allowed to issue a certificate complying with the form prepared by GASC on behalf of GASC in the country of origin performing inspection, examination and analysis during stage of production, packing, weighing and shipping of goods (mostly sugar, wheat goods and oils).
